We are blessed with a new family member! On Sunday, August 7th, Noelle Renae was born to my sister Terri and her husband Aaron. I was lucky enough to see Noelle only a few short hours after her birth, and have been able to visit her and big brother William a few times during the past week. She is a beautiful girl who seems so alert and happy! Olivia and Violet met Noelle yesterday for the first time. They both were dying to hold her and sat pretty still with her in their arms. Olivia kept saying, "She is so pretty and cute!" At daycare today, Olivia told her teacher that she met baby Noelle. Her teacher asked, "Was her skin red?" Olivia said, "No." Her teacher said, "Was her skin pink?" Olivia said, "No." Her teacher said, "What color was she then?" Olivia said, "I don't know, but she was BEAUTIFUL!" Then Violet piped in,"No...she was peach!" Their perspectives are pretty funny!
We've been doing a lot of bike riding lately. Both Olivia and Violet are riding little bikes with training wheels (thanks Granny Thronson)! They said they want to give away their trikes because they want to ride their big girl bikes now. They pedal like crazy. Violet likes to cruise at a pretty good speed and then slam on her brakes. Olivia is scared to use her brakes and prefers to drag her feet on the ground to stop. Good way to wear out her shoes! We've been riding bike around our neighborhood a lot. The girls like to ride to the school near our house and cruise around in the tar play area. Nice way to enjoy the beautiful weather!
