an okee dokee good time

Our favorite kids music group, The Okee Dokee Brothers, played a concert at Oak Hill Park on Wednesday, June 19. The girls and I went, and we met up with their friend Evan from their previous daycare. We got there about an hour and a half before the concert, so the girls were able to run around in the splash pad and play on the park equipment with Evan for awhile. I didn't tell them about the concert, so when we were heading to the bathroom and the girls saw the Okee Dokee Brothers walk right by us, they were so excited! The crowd was pretty small so the ODB set up on a small grassy hill. We were able to be up close to them which was pretty neat. There was a big grassy space in front of the ODB for the kids to use as a dance floor during the concert. Kids were dancing all over the place! The ODB were very interactive with the crowd, which was awesome. The kids kept inching closer and closer to them, so they had to remind everyone to back up a few times. :) The girls had an awesome time dancing and playing along! The girls were the most thrilled when they got to meet the ODB afterward. Violet told them "Thanks for a great show!"
